The Westerville Public Library Anti-Saloon League Museum has a large collection of material related to the anti-alcohol stance of the League and its methods of fighting the liquor industry. The cartoons in this collection are from the American Issue newspaper one of the Leagues tools in its fight against the saloon. In 1909, the Anti-Saloon League located its printing headquarters in Westerville, on the property where the public library stands today, and began to print tons of material for distribution across the United States and the world. Their printing and lobbying efforts led to the passage of the 18th amendment to the constitution.
